The Dark Knight

The character Bruce Wayne from the movie The Dark Knight had similar characteristics as The Knight in The Canterbury Tales. Aside from the similar title names, there were many other similarities as well.
The Knight from the Canterbury Tales was always chivalrous and on the path to do good for mankind. Bruce was also similar to The Knight. He felt responsible for others and to protect his city.
The Knight wears a tunic made of coarse cloth whereas Bruce is dressed in his black suit. Both characters have some kind of suits that they both wear to distinguish themselves from others.
In the story of The Knight, it showed how The Knight does not like to hear stories about hardships, but rather about how someone went from poverty to wealth. The Knight likes positive stories which shows the reader that he is a good person at heart and has good intentions and is willing to do good for others and expect nothing in return. In the movie The Dark Knight, Bruce also shows similar personality traits as The Knight. It is known that he is a good person, he does good for others and helps out the community. The Dark Knight is the modern day Knight of today.

Modern Day Wife of Bath

Audrey Hepburn played Holly Golightly in the film, Breakfast at Tiffany's. Holly's character portrayed many similar characteristics as The Wife of Bath.
The Wife of Bath was married five times and Holly was previously married as well. Both Wife of Bath and Holly were unhappily married. Both characters had strong independence and used their bodies to get what they want.
The Wife of Bath showed characteristics of being talkative, aggressive, and arguementive, which are all the same traits as Holly. Both characters also were smart in a common-sense way but not quite intellectually.
The Wife of Bath had many elegant and extravagant possessions and tried to portray to others a luxurious lifestyle. Holly wore big flashy jewelry, long black gloves, and had her hair well kept everyday. She often wore a huge gigantic hat to try symbolize her high status in society. Holly was always around high socialites and around people of upper class. And of course she was a fan of Tiffany's Jewelry which the movie is named after, and is on the path of becoming a modern day Wife of Bath.
